Banksy is an anonymous England-based street artist, political activist, vandal and film director. He is known for his satirical street art in which he combines dark humor with a distinctive stenciling technique. His work is seen worldwide and addresses political and social issues.
Rage, The Flower Thrower was created in 2005 on a wall in Jerusalem. It features a man dressed in riot gear and is about to throw a Molotov cocktail. However, in stead of a weapon, he is holding flowers (the only part of the mural painted in color). By using flowers, Banksy advocates peace instead of war. This is also why he created it on this exact location, a high-conflict area. It relates to the Everyday theme, because it addresses the issues that are currently going on in the world.
